government's idea of supporting domestic industry is kinda... naive, you know? they're trying to improve self-sufficiency, but what they're not considering is that it's already quite high. like, Japan's got a pretty advanced economy already, and just because we have some struggles with exports doesn't mean we need to drastically change our approach to the global market. we can't just shut ourselves off from the rest of the world and expect everything to be okay... that's not how economics works what they should be focusing on is finding ways to improve our industries so we can compete with other countries, not isolating themselves further
